Founder & Managing Partner, The Agency Maui
Born and raised on Maui, Yvienne Peterson brings a premier command of the Hawaiian real estate market to her role as Managing Partner of The Agency Maui. In her 26 years of experience — her real estate career began in 1998 — she has helped hundreds of clients from all walks of life find their dream homes and make fruitful investments, sharing her wealth of local and industry expertise along the way.
Her diligence, compassion and commitment to platinum-level service have made her a top producer and agent renowned throughout the islands. She is one of the few Certified Negotiation Experts on Maui, skillfully managing every transaction to secure her clients the best possible deal. Yvienne has represented buyers and sellers of every kind of property, from palatial estates to affordable condominiums, though she specializes in the luxury market — including celebrity and international clientele purchasing second homes and investment properties in Hawaii.
Before beginning her real estate career, Yvienne attended college in Los Angeles, where she also worked in property management. She returned to Hawaii to start her family and lives on the South Shores of Maui today with her husband, Gerrit, and their three children. When she isn’t researching market trends or keeping up with clients, she can usually be found cheering her kids on at sporting events and volunteering with local charities.
In 2021
In September 2021, Yvienne and Gerrit Peterson launched The Agency’s first Hawaiian franchise — the brand’s 23rd office worldwide — opening at The Shops at Wailea. The office celebrated its grand opening in April 2022 with an oceanview event at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea.
The Agency Maui was The Agency’s first franchise location in the state of Hawaii, and its 23rd office globally.
Yvienne and her husband Gerrit — Principal Broker, License RB-23810 — lead the office together as Managing Partners.
The Agency is a global boutique brokerage with 55+ offices worldwide, headquartered in Beverly Hills, California.
The Peterson Team
As Managing Partner and Principal Broker, Gerrit Peterson helped establish The Agency Maui in April 2021. With more than two decades of real estate and construction experience — including his role as Vice President of JAS Builders — he serves buyers and sellers across Hawaii, specializing in new construction, remodels, luxury homes and investment properties.
Raised in Kihei, Gerrit grew up learning the construction trade in his family’s business and has partnered with reputable development companies on projects ranging from condos to custom fixer-uppers. Married to Yvienne for more than two decades, he spends his time outside the office coaching youth basketball, golfing, and traveling with their family.
